February 27, 2025 Announcement:
The board met in a special session on February 26, 2025. We discussed the current youth baseball situation including registration numbers, JBO rules, and the options we had moving forward. CLRA is built in and around the foundation of “every child plays.” We accomplish this by following our guiding principles (CLRA handbook page 3.)

After reviewing both JBO and CLRA rules, we have made the decision to offer two national teams for both 3/4 and 5/6 if numbers allow. Both organizations require the teams be evenly split. This will be accomplished through attending MANDATORY evaluations; the date’s TBD. Although attendance of one is mandatory, we encourage everyone to attend both for fair observation. These will be run by the youth coaches and observed/evaluated by members of the CLHS varsity baseball coaching staff, and other members of the community. With all of that said, we currently do not have enough players for the two teams. We are short 4-6 boys on the 5/6 level, and short 8-10 at the 3/4 level. Anyone who is waitlisted (13th registration on,) will not be on a team until minimum numbers have been met for two teams. So, tell your friends to come join the CLRA baseball teams!! REFUNDS: If you have registered and have decided not to play for CLRA (waitlist or not) you are welcome to request a full refund prior to the registration closing on 3/15/25.

Once registration has closed our refund policy is as follows: “Requests for a refund must be submitted to the CLRA board of directors in writing (email is acceptable.) Refunds may be less than the following fees paid by CLRA: administrative fees, uniform costs, and league fees. No refunds will be issued for athletes who quit after practices have started or are removed from the team due to disciplinary issues.” We apologize in advance for any confusion that has taken place.

We are working hard to improve everyone's experience with CLRA; however, this takes time and manpower. If you are not satisfied with something, please feel free to attend our monthly meeting on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the rec center and help be part of the solution!
